If a pet is diagnosed with leptospirosis, any children or other pets in the household should be tested as well |

Coming in contact with infected water, soil, or mud |
Swimming in or drinking contaminated water |
Coming in contact with the urine of an infected animal |

Sudden fever and illness |
Sore/Stiff muscles |
Shivering |
Weakness |
Depression |
Lack of appetite |
Rapid dehydration |
Vomiting |
Diarrhea |
Increased water intake |
